Squall Rover - STL DOWNLOAD

The CEC-12 “Squall” ATV is a light duty rover found in nearly every frontier. Squalls are durable, light weight, and above all CHEAP. These reliable little vehicles are ideal for the daily challenges facing engineers in the most rugged terrain.

This little civilian ATV is inspired by one of my favorite sci-fi settings: Space Mining Colonies! My favorite space frontiers are in Aliens, Dead Space, Halo, and Borderlands. I set out to create a little ATV that would be used by engineers as the trek around rugged exoplanets. They aren’t the initial drones used for survey, but rather the daily multi-use vehicle used by the average miner. Time to check the relay towers after a heavy storm, or check the fences around the pasture where you keep your mutant cows? Just rumble over in your trusty Squall.

With cheap resin 3d printers available, I decided to offer this fun side project as a digital product. I love making minis, but actually investing in production is a major undertaking. So simply enjoy the fruit of a quick idea and add some fine detail to your tabletop. Use the ATV as the central piece in a scenario or simply take cover during a shootout in the rugged space frontiers.

This product is a .ZIP folder with .STL files ready for 3d print which includes:

• Full Truck (seen in render and painted yellow)

• Simplified Truck Body (seen in grey print and painted green)

• Front Wheel Axle (separated to simplify printing)

• Rear Wheel Axle (separated to simplify printing)

• BONUS Sci-Fi style crate.

This product is a downloadable folder with print ready .STL files ready for 3d Printing. It does not include any physical product or printing service.
